My Favorite Poem

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

A Walk In The Park

Here's another photo taken at the forest preserve down along the Rock River. I love that I was able to capture how blue the water looked. So peaceful and calming. There were a zillion mosquitos, but the walk was amazing.

Photography

I have recently found a new hobby~photography. My youngest son and I have gone on a couple of excursions, cameras in hand, and I've gotten some beautiful shots. This photo was taken in the Hononegah Forest Preserve in Rockton, Illinois. I love the way the shadow and light play in the leaves in this shot.
